Water Cooling: ASIC Mining Definition

ASIC Mining Glossary

Water Cooling

Water cooling, also called hydro cooling, uses a liquid loop to carry heat away from the chips instead of relying only on fans.

Why It Matters

It handles high power loads with much less fan noise, and the heat is easier to move elsewhere. Compare hydro miners with immersion miners to see which fits your site.

What to Watch For

Check the fittings, flow rate, coolant, and heat exchanger or dry cooler against the manufacturer's requirements. Test the loop for leaks before you start the miners. Browse our hydro mining supplies for loop accessories.
